Girls just wanna have fun
Me bad! But it felt good.
At 8 a.m. Saturday Mom, Kay and I set out for the Estes Park Wool Market in high spirits. The market is an annual destination for the express purpose of llama kissing, alpaca fondling and yarn buying. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.
Wanna see the loot?
For starters, I had the mohair locks from Kai Mohair...
Get that hair straightener away from me!
Then for the main dish, Painted La Perfecta, 100 percent Merino wool from Textiles A Mano, the amazing Laura Macagno-Shang's Fort Collins dyeing studio. It was divine.
I'm much prettier in real life.
For dessert, Four Play--a 50-50 wool silk blend from Brooks Farm Fiber in Lancaster, Texas.
Mom and Kay also left a few pennies at Brooks Farm, famous for their hand-dyed kid mohair, the glossiest, most irresistable skeins you're ever likely to see. No website, but their phone number is 972-227-1593. Mom also took home this. She was really wicked!
