Rebecca's Blog
Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

I've been quiet today and am just now checking in as the day is about to end.  It was a good day for me.  I ran a fun meeting at work.  After work I was the boss of a Jaycees membership meeting (the true President was out of town).  I got lots of compliments after it was over which is always nice.  I don't really have any trouble speaking in front of groups, but it was still good presentation experience, as well as running a meeting with a large group.  Tomorrow I'll get dressed all fancy and go meet with a couple of clients in Virigina.  I'm a little excited, but mostly ready to get it over with so I can start working on some spec-writing.  That'll be more of a challenge and I'm ready for a good, ol' fashioned challenge.

Dallas, if you're reading this - Hi there.  And Aaron. And Scott.  And John.  Who else is reading this thing?  C'mon, leave me a comment.  :)

G'night.

Eric Hoffer. "Absolute faith corrupts as absolutely as absolute power."

That's a good quote for me to think about 'cause I know I can be guilty of close-to-absolute-faith.  I have this deal with only trusting a very small number of people, but then trusting them completely.  I guess faith and trust are different words, but I think it still applies.  Absolute trust leaves you unprepared if you're wrong.  It's dangerous.
