Rebecca's Blog
Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

I left work a little early 'cause I needed a break.  I found the perfect one walking the most wonderful (and super fluffy) puppy in the world.  We walked almost and hour and then came home (well, not my home..but my friend's home) and chilled on the couch for lots of puppy-kisses.  Funny how not talking about anything other than "okay, you know you're supposed to sit now" and "ohmygoodness, you're so cute" can give me that same wonderful feeling I get from talking to a friend for an hour.

My KangaROOS are here.  They rock.  I have a story about why I'm so excited to be wearing them.

When I was a kid, my family was very, very poor.  In first grade we moved towns.  At the new school, which was much nicer, they took me and my brother across the street to a shoe story and let us choose any pair of shoes in the place we wanted. I opted for purple kangaroos.  It stands out very vivid in my mind. I was so excited to go back to class and wear nice shoes.  They later bought me a winter coat too.

So, now I am a big girl and I can buy my own shoes.

Pablo Picasso. "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."

So far, so good. I love the art.  Making it, that is.

"IT Horoscopes - September 2003 - a whatis definition" [Daypop Top 40]

For the Capricorn's like me:

You may feel confused about whether to pursue a new certification or degree. Seek out a former colleague's advice. This is a period of non-stop stream of consciousness. Pay attention to ideas that come to you in the middle of the night. Embrace new ideas and try to look at your work from new perspectives. Whatever you do, you will succeed if you play strictly by the rules. Don't take foolish chances -- stick to established protocols in your work environment. Because you're so good at what you do, others will want to give you more responsibility. Take the reins if they're offered. Travel and relationships with people far away are emerging as huge trends in months to come.
