Mostly news stories or articles of interest in the future to me. I'll eventually get around to adding my own ideas and stories on a more regular basis.

i found this little story-poemy thing i had written a couple of years ago in an e-mail exchange with a friend and really enjoyed it. i was in a little town walking around by myself. i bought a silly crown and wore it around afterwards.

i once walked along a bridge, one foot at a time

not a bit of overlap of the stepping feet

step then lift

lift then step

along i went this way

no particular reason,

just trying to pass the day

and then i caught myself whistling

it was a silly little tune

when i realize how i must sound

i couldn't help but grin

whistling and grinning is quite a special skill

similar to head-patting, belly-rubbing

or gum chewing and walking

the breeze then caught my hair

and made me feel like a model

smile this way

turn your head down

make love to the camera, dahling

is it just me or is hot out here

i imagined what would happen if i fell into the water

would a car pass and stop and save me

maybe it would be my true love

i can just hear the stories we'll tell our grandkids one day

or what if i did drown?

what would people say?

maybe not much, some tears and on their way

step then lift

lift then step

along i went this way

whistling again

trying to pass the day

I liked the below quote 'cause I went camping this weekend.  Sometimes it's quite nice to be away from tv, radio, and computers.  To look up at night and see stars.  To hear the actual sounds of nature to put you to sleep.  To take a big jump off a rock at 7 in the morning on a rope swing and soar through the air.  I wasn't sure everyone would appreciate my giggling while they were sleeping, but I didn't hear any complaints.  Being someone that typically has a "bed for one" at night it was fun to have someone in my tent to do late night whispering too.  It's been too long since I've been to a slumber party, I suppose.

George Carlin. "Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong."

This quote is for all those boys that make fun of the fact that I always have a "story."

John A. Wheeler. "If you haven't found something strange during the day, it hasn't been much of a day."
