Dave Winer discusses a strategy for using RSS enclosures and an aggregator for time shifted download of high bandwidth material. He mentions porn as the target use but I think it potentially has application in a less unsavoury space - web based elearning ( a subject near and dear to my heart).
The only thing that seems missing though is a mechanism for authenticated connection and download. Am I missing something? Is there a specified mechanism for password controlled access that I have overlooked ?
