Microsoft suprises me more often than not

I got an email from John Pocaro(Microsoft) saying that he had read my "A short history of Microsoft and Voice and Video over IP.A short history of Microsoft and Voice and Video over IP" piece (he found me via a comment I left on his weblog).

Microsoft and Microsoft people do pay attention even when you think they are off in their own world. Guys like John and Scoble at Microsoft (and others that I have contact with and certainly lots of others that I have never heard of or have never heard of me) are listening, acting on what they hear and evolving Microsoft.

I guess that is what makes Microsoft a formidable force.
