Is Microsoft a bad partner?.
People say that Microsoft is a bad partner. In fact, I'd have to confess that I myself have said that, on certain occasions. :-)
I recently got a call from somebody at Microsoft's field office in Chicago. They had a customer who was unhappy with SourceSafe, and they asked me to go with them to visit that customer and try to convince them to switch to Vault.
Bottom line: Microsoft asked me to help them sell my product. In my book, that's pretty darn good partnering. If this continues, I'm obviously going to have to take back all those horrible things I've said about Microsoft. :-) [Eric.Weblog()]

US Media on Jakarta Bombing: ZZzzzz.... Our media seems to have gone back to sleep, almost completely ignoring a major attack against a symbol of Western interests in Indonesia by a jihad group linked to Al Qaeda, in which 14 people have been killed including at least two Americans.
But if you want to know what Kobe Bryant had for breakfast this morning, you’ll hear it on every channel, repeated over and over.

The Stop-Dean Candidate: Hillary If Mrs. Clinton wants to save her party, 2008 may be too late. [Wall Street Journal]
Watching Mr. Dean's surge in the primaries, Sen. Clinton may have to rethink her preference of delaying a presidential bid until 2008 to run against Gov. Jeb Bush or some other non-incumbent. By then it may be too late, not for her but for her party. A Dean candidacy would stamp Democrats more clearly than ever as a party that runs hoping for a sour economy at home and rooting for American humiliation in Iraq.

Global Warming update........
The predicted high temp today is 89. The record for this date of 106 was set in 1932. Must have been lots of SUV's in 32! Thought......was Freon even invented in 1932?
Yep......Google says it was.
In 1930, General Motors and DuPont formed the Kinetic Chemical Company to produce Freon. By 1935, Frigidaire and its competitors had sold 8 million new refrigerators in the United States using Freon made by the Kinetic Chemical Company. In 1932, the Carrier Engineering Corporation used Freon in the world's first self-contained home air conditioning unit, called an "Atmospheric Cabinet".
