The question on my mind is thus, will the Americans funk out? And the only thing I can say for sure, is that if they do, it will be an unparalleled disaster. For 9/11 itself was the payback for the last U.S. funk-out from its responsibilities as a superpower.

Rachel Lucas is a little (a lot) upset with the TV Networks 9/11 anniversary coverage. I don't watch network TV (life is much too short) so I wouldn't know what they were doing. (LP)

Thanks to Jay Solo's Blog I discovered a homegirl in North Dakota who has a blog. Julie's site really brought back some memories for me. She happened upon what we in nor daakoota call a Threshing Bee and took lots of pictures. My mother has pictures of Threshing Bees from her childhood. I must scan them all some day. Now days the harvest is all done with very big expensive combines but the name has stuck. The pictures from the air look just like my uncles farm near Cooperstown with the gently rolling hills and the sloughs to go around. What you see in these pictures is what I did every summer for my first 18 years. Can't say I miss it but the food was sure good. Thanks for the memories Julie. (LP)

Polluted Minds. In response to this weekend's eco-terrorist vandalism and arson, FoxNews reports that: SUV Fans Rally at Torched L.A.-Area Car Dealership. Earlier this year, Michael S. Berliner of The Ayn Rand Institute explained the anti-human mentality of environmentalists in this Earth Day op-ed.
The fundamental goal of environmentalists is not clean air and clean water; rather it is the demolition of technological/industrial civilization. Their goal is not the advancement of human health, human happiness, and human life; rather it is a subhuman world where "nature" is worshiped like the totem of some primitive religion.

Sometimes I feel like going Postal! This is happening all over the country. Because we on the Right have been so busy working hard and grabbing all the American Dream we can for ourselves and our families we let the Left completely take over the media and education system in this country. I think we started losing it in the 60's and I'm sure some will argue it started long before that. Now we have a very big battle just to stop the ship from listing any more to port and maybe even start correcting the list at some future date. It has taken 40+ years to reach this point and so correction will not happen overnight. The list was and is so bad that the ship is in grave danger of rolling on its side. If we all move to the starboard side we may stop it from rolling just in time. Most of the burden will fall on the shoulders of those who have school age children now. If you ask your children what they are being taught in school you will be amazed at the brainwashing that is and has been taking place for a very long time. There is a lot of work to do but I think there is a chance the ship can be saved and maybe even righted in a generation or two. (LP)
