FRONT LINE VOICES is on the Air!
Since, as the saying goes, perception is nine-tenths of reality, those who control what we learn about the war in Iraq and other conflicts have an immense power. They can spin a victory into a failure, and a perceived failure in the fight against tyranny can only strengthen the resolve of tyrants.
It has increasingly been the complaint of many troops that the picture that the media is painting of the progress in the War on Terror is far from reality. The mission of this site is to get out the full story by posting first-hand accounts as written by men and women who have actually been to Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no editing or commentary by those who run this site, and we will print any letter or story submitted by a legitimate source who has served overseas. Our only goal is to offer you the opportunity to read these stories and to find out what the reality is.

A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words. The media totally sucks that they don't show any of the positive things happening over there. [Right We Are!]
Just keep blogging the truth Lori. Remember that the truth will always prevail. It may take what seems like a long time to overcome the power of the major media which has told the world what to think for so long. They hate the Internet and wish we would all go away. The media's time of controling the minds of the world is rapidly coming to an end. They will go kicking and screaming. I would like to administer a few kicks on their way out the door. People like Sgt. Hook and his laptop are the new media of this world. (LP)

Palestine and Palestinians: There's no such thing [Zogby]
I am afraid however that you, along with 99% of the population of this planet, have missed the beginning of WW III (they call it Jihad) quite a few years ago. The siege of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979, an event to which the latest Nobel Peace Prize winner had so miserably failed to respond, can be very well used as the day WW III stepped out of the pages of the Koran and into the current events. I pray the United States and Israel lead the world to victory in this war.

Freedom Of Speech. David Brooks of the New York Times has written an interesting opinion piece about the lack of opportunities available to political conservatives who enter academic fields. A quote from the article: These dissenters lead interesting lives. But there's one circumstance that causes true anguish: when a bright conservative student comes to them and says he or she is thinking about... [Electric Venom]
