Symantec Says No To Pro-Gun Sites [Slashdot]

If this turns out to be true these people are toast in my machine.  I will definitely keep on top of this one! Capt.Poopdeck

Caution.... I see that North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad has a section on his site regarding the budget and economy. Not much nicey-nice about President Bush, I see. North Dakota's Congressional leaders are all Democrats. I can't see them being defeated any time [Julie Neidlinger]

Great article by Julie about the weird North Dakota politics.  Capt. Poopdeck

Julie found a lot of great quotes over at Mudville Gazette.  One of my favorite from one of my favorite presidents is below.  Of course the fact that he thought the Badlands of North Dakota was the greatest place on earth doesn't hurt his standing in my eyes!

"It may be that at some time in the dim future of the race the need for war will vanish: but that time is yet ages distant. As yet no nation can hold its place in the world, or can do any work really worth doing, unless it stands ready to guard its right with an armed hand."
--Theodore Roosevelt

Another Damn Foreigner. Here's a letter which warms the proverbial cockles of my ammo locker. It is, incidentally, not the first of its type which has come to me, just the most eloquent.

Kim, I'm a British citizen (still -- although that'll change soon) who has made America my home. I'm in the process of purchasing my first gun (I'm waiting for a local business owner to get his Federal Firearms Licence). I know, I could buy from an already established gun store, but it's the... When I was 4 or 5 years old living in Oklahoma City, my mother bought me a little Emerson AM radio.  I quickly became addicted to listening to far away stations at night.  My strictly enforced early bedtime put a real crimp in my style.  Knowing nothing about radio electronics at that time, I quickly figured out that those wires going to the speaker could be hooked to a single earphone which I kept hidden from my mother.  I took the dial light out of the radio and I was in business.  She could walk in the bedroom and I would appear to be sound asleep but my head was laying on the earphone listening to far away places.  I would have given everything I had at that time for something like this web site.  Later we had Whites Radio Log which only gave station call, location, and power.  With this web site you can get more information than you ever thought you wanted.  They even have the low power stations you find at high schools.  Be sure to check out the coverage area maps in the info section on the far left.
