Lighting fires

I dreamed I was on a college campus, standing at the parapet of a kind of stone balcony overlooking the green. I was lighting matches and throwing them off, some of them burning at both ends. Then I headed down the steps. A faculty or administrative person was there, possibly a nun, and I eyed the bits of scrap that had caught fire beside the stairs. But this was one of those extremely indulgent places. She smiled and nodded when I told her what I was doing. She said, "I hate it when I have no one to light fires with."
