Voting opened today for the primary. At the time they opened though, it wasn't clear if the primary date would get pushed back due to Hurricane Charley. As of last night, state officials couldn't even locate the supervisor of elections for Charlotte County and there was a discussion as to whether elections would have to be delayed in the storm-struck counties and if so whether the election would have to be delayed state-wide. The breaking news is that the state thinks the election can proceed as scheduled. Charley's damage delays election as early voting starts today (Florida Today)
