Deutsche Welle offers surfers a choice of 30 different languages, covering most of the world. You can read the news at DW in Serbian, Spanish, Hindi, Pashto, Persian, Chinese, Portuguese (European or Brazilian), Kaswahili, Indonesian...you get the idea.

There's more than just translation: the content of the page changes with the language, to reflect stories that are likely to be of more interest to people in different areas of the world. A great example of the power of the internet to deliver news in new and relevant ways.

MORE GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY

The 16th annual Visa pour l'Image international festival of photojournalism has honoured great photojournalism from around the world. Among those honoured was Stephanie Sinclair, who won the Visa d'Or in the feature category for her story on female self-immolation in Afghanistan.
