ANOTHER LOSS

Eddie Adams, whose work helped define a golden age of photojournalism through the late-'60s and 1970s, has died at age 71 from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Adams is best known for his 1968 photograph of the streetside execution of a member of the Viet Cong, taken during the Vietnam War, but there was more to his work than that. As important as his photojournalism, was his work developing the talents of others through the Eddie Adams workshops.
