The election's on the way. The Things Not to Like About GWB [posted by Troy] In 2000, Bush ran on the platform of not being the world's police force. Yet, somehow he used 9/11 to invade Iraq. Weapons of mass destruction, anyone? The US has held José Padilla for over 2 years without charges or trial. He's a US citizen. I am pretty sure that this goes against the Constitution. Why hasn't Dick Cheney released the meetings he had with Enron executives that influenced US energy policy? I wonder. Those of you in education can post comments about the great success of Bush's No Child Left Behind Education "reform." Or...may you can't becuase it sucks? Let's not forget that more people voted by Gore in the last election. The Jesus Factor (from PBS): Let's not forget that the people who think nonChristians are going to hell, support Isreal, are against evolution, and against abortion are Bush's main supporters. Theseare the people that he has to play to. Why did he propose an amendment against gay rights? These people can have their views, but I sure don't want them in the White House. PATRIOT ACT The Defense Budget has hit historic records while he's cut other programs. If you want tax cuts, don't spend more on guns. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Let's face it. Bush is the most unqualified, dumbest, corporate lap dog that we've had in office...EVER! Some time in the future I'll give you the list of good reasons to vote for Kerry. It's make the argument that sure, Kerry isn't the greatest presidential candidate but he is intelligent enough that we may actually discuss issues in this country. He won't use the utterly stupid argument that the enemies of the US "hate freedom," which is so freakin' dumb. Is it the Mid-East sun that makes people attack US because they hate freedom? Ok, I digress. I don't agree with everything in this article, but it makes some good points.
