Any Democrat's Best Friend [posted by Troy] Here's a piece of a Tribune article about Illinois Republic Senate Candidate Alan Keyes: "The candidate for U.S. Senate [Keyes] has miffed many members of the Illinois delegation by spending more time on national talk shows than schmoozing with them...After the candidate told the [talk show] hosts that homosexuality is "selfish hedonism," he was asked whether Mary Cheney [Vice President's daughter] is a "selfish hedonist." "Of course she is," Keyes replied. "That goes by definition. Of course she is." On Tuesday, Keyes defended his remarks, adding that if his daughter were a lesbian, he would tell her she was committing a sin and should pray." These comments are from this Tribune Article (free password required to read it). Can we say hate speech? Hmmm? We Obama supporters thank the Illinois Republican Party.

Wear Yellow [posted by Troy] Got a funny phone call from Scott telling me about his recent citing of someone wearing a wear yellow wrist band while they were smoking. You see the wear yellow band was intended to be a symbol of the fight against cancer sponsored by the Lance Armstrong Foundation (As Brewer noted on his blog). I bought bands for our RABGRAI team. Anyway, now these bands have become a fashion statement, more than an anti-cancer statement. Scott found it ironic that the same hand wearing the wrist band was holding a cigarette, and I agree.
