The Upcoming Election [posted by Troy]

Cool Statue [posted by Troy] In the past, I've posted about the Haymarket Riot and the start of the labor movement. Chicago was ground zero for the 8 hour work day movement, but the city and state have ignored this because of old politics. Well, today the city dedicated a memorial to this event (see Sun Times Article). Kim & I drove by the memorial on the near West side today. It is very cool. Sorry that we didn't bring the digital camera. Good for Chicago, and it's about time.
