A Parade of Sensible Shoes Librarians Unite! [posted by Troy] Once again, I was one of the few penis owners at the Illinois Library Association Annual Conference. Despeite the fact that most of the attendees were women, I don't want to give the impression that these librarians were not ready for action. Oh no. These women were ready to run, walk, ride escalators...action librarians. Oh yes. High heels? Oh no. Sensible shoes. Oh yes. Did you know that the public library is the only institution where any person, of any age, can learn anything he or she desires for free? So American-->Social Mobility, Equality, and Opporunity all under one roof. When was the last time you were at your library? Hmmm? have you even visited to check out a DVD or museum pass? Come on!
