Office of Immigration Statistics Legal and Illegal [from LII]
Publications from this federal office 'responsible for developing, analyzing, and disseminating statistical information needed to assess the effects of immigration in the United States.' Includes the Yearbook of Immigration Statistics, demographic profiles on legal permanent residents (LPR) and naturalized citizens, population estimates, maps, and working papers and special reports. This office is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Here is some sad news. Harriette Avram has passed away. She is the creator of MARC. What is MARC, you may ask? Machine Readable Cataloging format. Back in the 60s, when computers were in their infancy, there was a need to share cataloging between libraries in a standard format. MARC revolutionized the organization of information in this country. Any of you who have used a library in the last 25 years have used Ms. Avram's technology, whether you knew it or not.

Mission Impossible 2 was about 45 minutes longer than necessary, because the film maker used so much slow motion. I am wondering if Mission Impossible Three will have as much slow motion?
