60 Minutes [posted by Troy] We listened to 60 minutes on the radio tonight and caught a piece about Stephen Colbert. I know that some of you are fans of his, and I thought that I'd pass this along. Here's a quote from the show:Asked to define "truthiness," Colbert tells Safer, "Truthiness is what you want the facts to be as opposed to what the facts are. What feels like the right answer as opposed to what reality will support"... On one episode, Colbert gave an example: "Consider Harriet Miers. If you think about Harriet Miers, of course, her nomination is absurd. The president didn’t say he thought about his selection. He said this: 'I know her heart.' Notice he said nothing about her brains. He didn’t have to. He feels the truth about Harriet Miers. And what about Iraq? If you think about it, maybe there a few missing pieces to the rationale for war, but doesn’t taking Saddam out feel like the right thing?"

Chicago [posted by Troy] Here's a flashback. Lollapalooza is back as the premier music festival this summer. It's like 1995 all over again, but with different bands (except for the Chili Peppers, Flaming Lips, and a list of other). The cool part is that Lollapalooza is in Chicago in 2006. The festival is drawing from all genres of music to be what it was intended to be, an event that reaches across all music to encourage idea sharing and whatnot. Anyway, seems cool. We don't have tickets or anthing, but if anyone wants to buy them for us, that'd be cool.
