Un-doing Christmas
I was up early this morning, putting away most of the Christmas decorations. While I could never call myself a minimalist (things from friends and family mean too much to me for that) it does feel good to have a less cluttered look around here. It won't last long though. Our Robbie Burns party is in a few weeks and we'll deck the house out a bit for that. Then comes Valentine's Day, and as tacky as it might sound, I've been collecting those heart shaped chocolate boxes for years. I think I must have over 20 of them that get pulled out and set about the place each February.
Rocky The Next Chapter
Jamie has decided to take up boxing. He went to his first session on Wednesday night, and surprizing to me (since he's prone to being quite a couch potato) he liked it. They do mostly fitness training, with some drills, and will only move on to sparring when they have a better sense of what they're doing.
