This weekend was an official working weekend in China. In order to give people 7 days off in a row the weekends before Chinese New Year, May 1 and October 1 are official working days. For China Bay this was good, because we could plan some meetings with other Chinese companies that we had actually planned for Monday.

The negative side was that traffic was horrible today, because everybody was working and it was raining. I spent at least one hour on the Zhongshan elevated road and the North-South elevated road, a stretch that normally can be done in less than 10 minutes.  Also taxi's were impossible to find: most cabbies took off to their hometowns already for Chinese New Year.

I am not in a holiday mood at all, but maybe that will come soon. Tomorrow I am off to Beijing to spend CNY there. I plan to take it easy for a few days, catching up on some sleep, working on a business plan and some presentations, and going to my favourite restaurants (if they have not disappeared in the mean time).
