Yesterday started off with a bang as I was perusing Scripting News where Dave mentioned some Om had written about our beloved NetNewsWire being purchased by Newsgator.

Newsgator is actually a Denver based company that not a lot of Mac users are going to be familiar with and there is much speculation about what is really going to happen with NNW. Probably the best piece I've seen on the subject can be found here care of DrunkenBlog.

Personally, Brent - I couldn't be happier for you and Shelia. I trust your judgement and am grateful for your output. I'm certain this wasn't the first time you were approached to be acquired and there is little likelihood that you would even seriously entertain the offer if it wasn't the right thing for the product. Whatever they paid, it's a bargain to acquire talent like you my friend.
