That's Entertainment! This morning, I saw the following post via Boing Boing: Superfriends/Office Space mashup For those of you too young to remember, SuperFriends was a cartoon that I grew up on.  It was like many of the cartoons in the 1970s and 1980s that Hanna-Barbera produced.  Needless to say, I grew up on it on Saturday mornings--back when there used to actually be cartoons on Saturday mornings.  Check out the QuickTime movie, as it is hilarious.  The website that it links to has more cartoon and movie mashup goodness.  I have been sitting in here laughing in my office at it.  You can check out the other videos here.  3:29:33 PM    comment []  trackback []

Discharging Rounds The 1 GB compact flash card I ordered for my new camera arrived today.  Now, I will not need to worry about how many photos I have left.  Now, I just need to find an inexpensive card reader and buy some rechargeable batteries.  I actually had a tiny bit of activity on the job search front yesterday.  One job was dealing with security--firewalls, token authentication, and wireless security.  The other was for a job as a NetWare administrator, with lots of ZENworks and GroupWise experience.  I am much more qualified for the former than the latter, but the former is the interesting field I am trying to get into.  Getting into security and doing things enterprise-wide is my next step.  Right along with mo' money.  I have been playing with Linux over the last few days, and I was finally able to get VNC to work with my Linux machine.  I can run Linux from Windows since I am stuck doing most of my work from that machine.  At some point, my production machine will make the plunge. This will make my Perl knowledge grow much more easily, though.  I have got to get off the geek thing I have been on in my blog.  Maybe some regular stuff later today.  Time to go back to work! 2:11:06 PM    comment []  trackback []
