GEEK ALERT!!! Please ignore if you are not one.

I am trying to update KDE on my SuSE 9.2 laptop from KDE 3.3 to KDE 3.4.  I cannot find a nice how-to anywhere online outlining what I would need to do using apt-get.  I tend to prefer apt-get for SuSE, since it is not as annoying as YaST; it will find and install the dependencies if I need them.

From what I can tell, I have the appropriate source in my sources.list file.  I essentially want to know what the commands are I need to issue.  Am I telling it apt to perform and apt-get upgrade?  Can I merely list all of the appropriate KDE components via apt-get install?

I could use a good resource for this, if anyone knows of one.

Yesterday, famed member of the O.J. Simpson "Dream Team" Johnnie Cochran died of complications from an inoperable brain tumor.  I remember reading sometime last fall that he was suffering from an undisclosed illness.  Some may detest him for the role he played in Simpson's defense.  I held him in high regard, though.  Cochran played an important role in other trials, though, prior to his involvement in the Simpson case.

Best of all, though, was the character "Jackie Chiles" from Seinfeld.  The character was inspired by Cochran.  It was amazing how they took the infamous "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit" line and turned it into a recurring character.  Hence, the title of this post.

I will miss Cochran's legal substance and style.
