- I have no desire to read and edit the sixty-eight page document
on disaster recovery in front of me. I need to do a lot of
editing. It's Friday afternoon, and I just do not feel like doing
that. 68 Pages of Disaster Recovery Goodness. Joy.
- Mr. Clever
was found last week. Apparently, he was left behind at Sean
Bolan's on St. Patrick's Day. He is now a permanent fixture at
that lovely establishment.
- I have been trying the Netflix
thing, and it has been somewhat fun. I am going to give it a
whirl, but something tells me that I am not going to get the full value
out of it. I have digital cable and small amounts of free time,
and Netflix does not seem to fit in well with that combination. It is a
nice way for me to watch those movies I do not plan to buy or to
preview movies I have thought about adding to my collection.
- Monday is Opening Day for the Orioles, and I will be there with this girl.
It should be fun, as I have the day off. It will include a visit
to the Cross Street Market for beer and food. I plan on having a
great time. You can expect to see me with my old school Orioles
hat (the one with the smiling cartoon Bird and orange bill) mocking
Sammy Sosa.
- I have two trips each of the next two weekends. Next
weekend I will be in Chicago for Opening Day at Wrigley Field. I
expect to have fun and a semi-functioning liver upon my return.
The following weekend I will be in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for my friend's
wedding. Since a large part of the old college gang will be
there, that should be fun as well.
- At some point, I need to head " downy Oshun, hon" to see some of
my family soon. It has been a while, and I need to visit my
grandfather.
Back to the salt mine that is work...

Back in January, I leeched off the free Wi-Fi at the Port City Java on Fort Avenue.
The geniuses that are employees of Comcast decided that I did not need
my cable and my cable internet access for five days, apparently.
So, after hitting the gym one day, I got my Internets-fix by using the
free access for four hours. All that to do email and some feed
reading. I would do this by taking my nice sleek Dell laptop in
and hooking up to the wireless.
Well, I apparently have nothing on this guy.
Not only is he doing the same thing, but he has lugged his entire
desktop computer, even his big honkin' CRT monitor. He has
plugged everything in, and there is no sign of a beverage in
sight. He even has his headphones on, typing away at the keyboard!
If I ever do something like this, please publicly humiliate me.
(Originally observed at Starbucks Gossip. Original is here. And, yes, I have an unhealthy obsession with coffee.)
