I really had no desire to return to work this week. I think part of it had to do with the dreariness of Monday morning, but part of it had to do with having an enjoyable weekend and not wanting it to end. As I said to someone else, as you get older it seems the demands on your time increase. Eventually, you have less and less time to do the things you want to do, as those things that need to get done take up more of your time. All in all, I had a nice weekend. Here's a recap:
  • Friday
    • I grabbed a quick haircut after bolting the office a little earlier than usual. After that, I was off to get ready for dinner. A good friend and I grabbed some dinner from the M&S Grill at the Inner Harbor. It was surprisingly good, and not nearly as touristy and annoying as I feared. We grabbed some drinks at Sean Bolan's following dinner with some friends. It was a nice evening, including some local bar-hopping at the Fort Charles Pub. Always entertaining to take in the local color there.
  • Saturday
    • I spent the late morning and afternoon playing Nick Burns. I already chronicled what I had to deal with there. Unfortunately, there was one piece of malware I could not get rid of. Additionally, the Knoppix Security Tools CD refused to load on this machine. A large part of that can be explained by the manufacturer: eMachines. Why not just put a machine in front of me with the label Fisher-Price. I might have done slightly better. After doing what I could to get the machine back up, I instructed the user to get their data off of the machine, pop the system recovery CD in to reinstall Windows, and contact me if anything else was needed.
    • Saturday night, I had dinner at Holy Frijoles with a good friend. As usual, the meal was tasty and the margaritas very good! Again, we went back to Sean Bolan's to meet some incredibly drunk friends. A good time was had, as usual.
  • Sunday
    • I enjoyed Easter Sunday dinner in the Western part of Maryland. It was a really good time, but I was really tired when I got home. The dinner was quite tasty, and the company was welcoming and awesome.
    • When I returned home, I had to get ready for work today. So, I packed my lunch and finished my laundry. While waiting for my laundry, I watched my recently acquired "The Incredibles" DVD. I enjoyed it, but I did not dive into the special features disc. After that, with my laundry done, I went to bed and bid goodbye to another enjoyable weekend.
