Broadsheet, my apologies for not making the festivities on Saturday night.  It was much too late on Saturday when all of us were done eating our various things, and some of us were too tired to party any more.

See you next Tuesday, perhaps?

This weekend was too damn hot!

I think some of me melted on Saturday, when I was trying to play tour guide to my friend and his wife who were in from Boston.  I decided to take them to Fort McHenry.  It was then that I perspired much like a stuck pig.  My friend stated it best when we piled into my car following our tour: "I have had enough of outside."  With that, we headed over to Fell's Point for drinks at Max's and the HorseShe even joined us, with a very brief visit by the Family Neckbone while at Max's.

We adjourned for dinner at L.P. Steamer's, which was as usual quite tasty.  Dessert was enjoyed at Vaccaro's in Little Italy.  Finally, some drinks to round out the evening--as it was my friend's birthday and we had to celebrate with Car Bombs.

On Sunday, we made the fateful mistake of going to the ball game.  That is when the part of me that did not melt on Saturday melted.  St. Raffy of the Immaculate Injection received neither cheers nor boos from me.  I think he is undeserving of either.  I was too hot to do much of anything, really.  Fortunately, we left for Pickles and other air-conditioned comforts.
