CNNMoney: Starbucks Corp., a growing force in the music scene, says it chose to keep Bruce Springsteen's new album, "Devils & Dust," off the menu at its coffee shops, partly because of concerns about its explicit lyrics.

Springsteenlyrics.com:
She took off her stockings, I held them to my face
She had your ankles, I felt filled with grace
"Two hundred dollars straight in
Two-fifty up the ass," she smiled and said
She unbuckled my belt, pulled back her hair
And sat in front of me on the bed
She said, "Honey how's that feel, do you want me to go slow?"
My eyes drifted out the window, down to the road below.

InsearchofUtopia:

I don't think Starbucks should be forced to sell music they wish not to stock in their stores. I also don't believe artists should come out with "clean" versions of records. I don't want to buy a watered-down version of an album. I do think Starbucks is overreacting. I don't see consevatives picketing Starbuck chains across America over the Boss.

Contact Music: Chinese actress Bai Ling called up one of the eight spirits she claims lives inside her in order to pose naked for Playboy magazine, because she insists the real Bai Ling would never strip off in front of people.

She explains, "I have eight little spirits in me and they're all different characters. Some are little girls dressed in mini-skirts, some are shy and quiet and innocent, and some are provocative and sexy, modern and wild... I'm like a house for them to live.

Baltimore Sun: In truth, the only thing virginal about Doris Day was her insuperable blonde and beaming independence, fortified by confidence ... she went her own way, never parodying sexuality, a la Marilyn, or bottling it up the better to smolder, a la Princess Grace. Yet she ended happily in bed more than either of them and on her own terms."

That is Gary Giddins of the New York Sun, on the delectable Doris, reviewing the lush DVD release of some of her big Warner Bros. films. He is right on the money, and he also accurately describes her unique and sexy singing voice.

Hecklerspray: The Paula Abdul American Idol scandal rumbles on, following the broadcast of Fallen Idol, the supposedly shocking sex and drugs documentary about the show.

The biggest claim the TV show made is that Paula Abdul had a affair two years ago with a young contestant.

Jossip: After airing out his stained laundry on ABC's Primetime Live on Wednesday, he's now on Extra begging American Idol's producers not to take any disciplinary action against the show's star judge.

"She didn't do nothing but have sex with someone," Clark said. "Everybody has sex. They should keep her."
