Misadventures in Atlanta: I have this problem. I sometimes take things too literally. So when I was invited to an adult toy party I thought it would be big kid toys like video games, electronics, etc.

So I went to my first adult toy party and I looked like a deer in headlights. Even the other people that attended were laughing at me because the sales rep showed some stuff that I had never seen nor heard of before. And the fact that everyone else seemed to know what this stuff was even more shocking.

Brand Republic: Within 90 seconds of introducing himself, Alan Lucas, founder of sex-toy brand Tabooboo, has picked up a shocking-pink handbag from a shelf in the brand's Selfridges concession and begun explaining how the tasselled handle detaches to become a whip.

Tabooboo, which sells products from vibrators to lubricants, challenges people to think differently about the category. 'People are put off sex toys because they associate them with porn,' says Lucas. 'But if you take away the porn, there is no problem. We focus on participation and our products are accessories - just like massage oil or condoms - that enable people to have better sex.'

Telegraph: These lists are compiled on the whim of TV producers whose sole aim is to get as much cleavage into each show as possible. Regardless of the programme title - Britain's 100 Favourite Gardeners, Britain's 100 Worst Celebrity Water-Skiers, Britain's 100 Most Mediocre Astro-Physicists - at least half of those listed must have desirable breasts.

Monsters and Critics: Postsecret.com, a popular new Web site allows Internet users to anonymously share their innermost secrets with the world.

The Web site says each secret can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, erotic desire, feeling, confession, or childhood humiliation. "Reveal anything -- as long as it is true and you have never shared it with anyone before," the site advises.

Contributions include messages such as "People think I`ve stopped lying, but I`ve just gotten better at it;" "Hey Jessica!! I always thought that buffalo wings were made from buffalo too!!" and "I spread rumors about my gay classmates to see how people would react if they every found out about me."
