Oh %^&*.
Well, onto the rest of our lives. I'm getting married in six days. I was hoping that the Giants would start the week off right, but they didn't. Oh well. I'm still proud of the team. Barry Bonds is the best player in the game and he got to play on the big stage. I wonder if he'll ever get another chance.
I also remember that baseball is a business and because the Giants went so far (and had seven games of World Series ball) they'll probably make a small profit this year. That will give the management some room to make interesting choices in the off-season. Will we be back? I don't know. The team looks ready to explode into a million pieces.
It'll be a long off season, that's for sure.
Welcome to a great World Series, MSNBC says. There is no bright side, the San Jose Mercury News says. Ahh, Mark Purdy. He's been wrong more often than my ex-wife ever was. Which is a good thing. I agree with MSNBC. At least now the rest of the country will watch. We have a one-game world series. A true championship game. I only wish I was there. On the other hand I agree with Purdy. It sure does look grim. Sorry, Dave, prayer ain't gonna help tonight. We need something more.
