I just picked up "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X." It's actually rather exciting. Back in the late '80's, when I started hearing about NeXTStep, I really wanted to play with it, but I never managed to get enough access to a NeXT box. They showed up at school right after I graduated, and after graduation, I went to work for Microsoft, so learning Objective-C was not really on my radar.

So far, it's pretty damn cool. I thought I was going to be weirded out by Objective-C, but my Smalltalk experience helps a lot. There are somethings I wish it had that it didn't (like blocks), but there's enough there to be a lot of fun.

Now if I can just get someone to pay me for Cocoa programming.
