I got a new boss today, the third one in three months. My old boss, apparently, was promoted, so he's still my boss also. it's just tjat there is just a new layer of bosses in between us. If that doesn't make any sense, consider this: I work in Alaska. My boss works in California. There are other bosses in the Anchorage office, but alas, I don't answer to them.
Not that I'm complaining. Having a boss 3000 miles away is a fantastic thing, no matter who they happen to be this week. 8:38:16 PM

I AM THE WORLDS BIGGEST MORON.
For about two months I've been fighting this stupid connectivity issue with my Powerbook, wherein it would randomly lose network connectivity (not just DNS service, which is a known OS X issue), and then regain it at some random time in the future. I've tried everything, or as your about to see, almost everything to fix this issue. I've created new network profiles, did hardware checks on my ethernet port, erased and created new network preferences, replaced my ethernet hub, etc, etc, etc.... Nothing worked. But tonight I got a bright idea and replaced my ethernet cable. Bingo. Everything is nominal again. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the least obvious. 8:19:27 PM

W. Ian Blanton' posts some funny feedback regarding my "Cooler homes than me" weblog entry:
Ok, I admit it, that's cool. I will also admit, that if I had done, it I'd have to have made it look like it crashed (embed it in a hill or something), but that's just because I'm a freak.7:32:04 PM Add a comment
