Brazil Inaugurates 1st Elected Leftist [AP World News]

This is terrible for the people of Brazil, although (according to the AP) they're all perfectly happy about it. Well, people get the government they deserve, as the saying goes. Although this is a story from the mainstream media--it's possible that there are Brazilians who are't so happy, but pro-Communists reporters are hardly going to tell us about them if they can avoid it.

Will President Bush wimp out on tax cuts? [OpinionJournal]

While the economy stumbled through one of the worst Christmas shopping seasons in a decade, the White House leaked word that President Bush may "soften his stimulus package" (read: gut his tax-cutting plan) before it's even proposed this month. Which begs the question: Did Republicans lose the November elections?

This is hardly surprising. Republicans politicians are notorious for talking about small government and tax cuts, and then behaving worse then Democrats once they're actually in office.

No doubt this article will be ignored by the would-be crusaders who like to pretend that all muslims hate non-muslims.
