Congress Weighs New Cloning Ban. As legislators kick off a new session, a bill banning human cloning is a hot item on the agenda. If passed, the law would result in jail time and up to a $1 million fine for violators. By Kristen Philipkoski. [Wired News]
Since cloning is opposed by both ecofreaks and Christian fanatics, I expect this will end up passing with bipartisan support. The minor detail that the proposed ban is totally unconstitutional will never even enter into the debate.
