No Comment. I said a lot about the current corruption of debate in this post (and the museum looting story was one of the examples I used). One of the elements I talked about in the earlier post, although not in these terms, was moral grandstanding.

Not wishing to indulge in that unattractive pastime myself, I will simply give you some excerpts from this story from the Washington Post, with no further comment -- except to note that I would not expect to see this story highlighted on any of the big pro-war blogs any time soon: [The Light of Reason]

I wouldn't expect it either, given that the Crusaders have been pretending that there was no looting.

The article makes for interesting reading, but I think the idea is about as silly as the "anglosphere" nonsense pushed by English Crusaders.
