Techies vs. Telcos (via Doc; BTW does Radio Userland have a glossary like Frontier? I need a glossary bad) - Summary: telcos are dragging their feet introducing true broadband because they have a vested interest in slowing it down (i.e. the high price they charge for "real" broadband like T1s). There's no broadband competition here in Vancouver either; just the duopoly of Telus and Shaw.
