Denver November 2004 Election
Bob Schaffer has jumped into the race for Ben Nighthorse Campbell's U.S. Senate seat, according to the Denver Post [March 13, 2004, "Schaffer: I'll run; 2 others say no"]. His announcement came on the heels of Scott McInnis and Tom Tancredo declining the opportunity.
What of Mike Miles? He's been running for Campbell's Senate seat for over two years now. The Rocky Mountain News has a short article about Mr. Miles [March 13, 2004, "Underdog role not fazing Miles' bid for U.S. Senate"].
Here's the link to Bob Schaffer from the Political Graveyard.
I haven't found a website yet for either Mr. Schaffer or Ken Salazar. Where are your weblogs gentlemen? I can help you get started. No charge. Don't be afraid to talk to us in your own voice. I suspect that the rush to candidacy after Campbell's announcement has left little time to organize their online efforts so far.
The Denver Post has another story here. Here's a link to their Campaign 2004 page.
Area voters will get a chance to extend the reach and the term of the Scientific and Cultural District this November. Here's a link to an article about metro area mayoral support for the district from the Denver Post [March 12, 2004, "Metro mayors urge renewal of cultural, scientific tax"].
