Denver November 2004 Election

Here's a profile of Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Bob Schaffer, from yesterday's Denver Post [March 20, 2004, "Gadfly Schaffer is GOP torchbearer"].

Peter Blake discusses Mr. Scaffer in his column in yesterday's Rocky Mountain News [March 20, 2004, "Blake: Schaffer gets Senate run rolling with Vegas shindig"].

No events are scheduled by any candidate this week. I asked both Mitch Morrisey and John Walsh to be sure to post events on their websites. I'm worried that Mike Miles is giving up now that Ken Salazar is in. This is the first week he hasn't had events scheduled since I started watching his website.

2004 Presidential Election

There's a lot of cool discussion going on around the presidential election this weekend.

Blogs for Bush liked the President's Florida kick-off yesterday. Here's the BfB post about Punk support for George Bush.

Richard Clarke will be on 60 minutes tonight giving his interpretation of the President and the Iraq - Al Queda link.

Here's an analysis about the situation in Iraq one year after the start of the war from Mark Steyn.

Josh Marshall: "But you know what? That's life. Don't complain; fight."

Update: Nevada appears to be solidly in President Bush's camp according to a recent Las Vegas Review-Journal poll. The President leads John Kerry 49 to 38. Thanks to Taegan Goddard for the link.

Update: Josh Marshall analyses Richard Clarke's appearance on 60 minutes.

Update: Channeling Cupertino: "In his upcoming book Against All Enemies, former White House counter-terrorism coordinator Richard Clarke shows that DumbYa's protective instincts toward his dad may have warped the Bush Regime's response to 9/11. Dealing with unfinished business seems to have been the order of the day."
