Quick note: Caldidate Peter Ueberroth wants to quit. When candidates file to run, they sign a paper wherein they promise to stay active as a candidate until the election. All of the quitters (well, both of them - so far) will appear on the ballot. I don't think many people were planning on voting for Ueberroth anyway, so what's the deal?
