I wondered about this when iTunes downloads started. Do we still have to take the Beatles seriously? Three out of four are dead and Ringo looks like young Arafat.

London photographer, Julius Welby has been very busy lately. He looks like young Miguel Ferrar in this mirror shot.

Daniel Weintraub has some thoughts on the postponement of the California recall election by the Ninth Circuit Court this afternoon. I say "let's just everybody calm down."

Scripting.com says:
"... BloggerCon starts in about three weeks. Hehe. Let's have fun."
I'd love to Dave. I've applied for professional development money - they decide on September 25th.

If I'm approved I'll be there, if not I'll wish I was.

As for outrageous art, if I'm there, I'll bring it, if not I'll just talk about it here. I suspect it will involve digital photography (hehe) with group involvement through technological connections. Some kinda shock wouldn't hurt either.

We probably don't want to consult with Mr. Safe on this. Y'all's input, however, is necessary ...

Recall delayed!

I guess all those Los Angelians wanted their votes to count. Hey - if nothing better comes out of this, at least Davis now knows who that chubby Mexican guy down the hall is.

Dang!

My camera's toxic. (How does it know when it's in California?) It's a good thing I've got an environmental case:

Since the lens can be taken off dSLRs, the image sensor gets exposed to the environment. This allows dust to settle onto the surface of the sensor, which then must be cleaned. Authorized repair facilities can clean it, but that's expensive.

Fortunately, Nicholas R. has an online tutorial for sensor cleaning.

Joe Wisniewski has investigated and tabulated many aspects of lenses, cameras, panorama and infrared photography. Take a look, there's bound to be at least one number in there that you need.

Adobe has a hundred dollar plug-in for working with the new RAW image formats.

Now, whenever I shake a Californian's hand, I'll wonder if they've handled an electrical cord.
