The Arizona Model
California Clean Money executive, Jim Clark was on a Los Angeles talk radio show this morning about the influence of money on the recall campaign. He mentioned the Arizona model over and over again.
The Arizona model for campaign financing, the Arizona model for dealing with Workman's Compensation (a big part of many of the campaigns) and finally the Arizona model for gubernatorial recalls themselves. (It takes a governor like Evan Mecham, pictured above, to initiate one.)
According to the Arizona recall model, a recalled governor must have committed Malfeasance in Office. But then Davis might have been malfeasant.

The eleven member sub-panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals did indeed hear oral arguments this afternoon, on the postponement of the California recall election. About half of the visitors to this weblog come looking for recall information, therefore I support delaying the vote until March - or even longer - if those pesky chads keep hanging on.
