My brother Miguel suggests that France and Argentina should play a game the same day as the World Cup Final. It could be in Paris and be announced as the "Final de l'Arrogance".

Paraguay surprises and proves me wrong (again)!
Paraguay had to win by two goals and had to hope, against hope, that Spain, using the second team, beat South Africa. It all happen, everything in the last minutes with two amazing goals by Cuevas of Parguay.
So now only 1 of 5 African teams made it and 2 out of 5 for South America (COMEBOL).

Charles Miller asks a key question. Suppose you work for a company and keep a public weblog. Are you required in some way to blow the whistle, in public, on your employer? Imho, absolutely not. It could easily get you fired, and it isn't fair to your employer, unless they employ you as a journalist. Now, this does not mean you are not a journalist. Just disclose that you are an employee of the company that employs you. Then readers will know to look elsewhere for information about that company. Reasonable people will understand that you will not disclose information that could hurt the company. [Scripting News]
Wrong. Your obligations as a Human Being and as a citizen come before your obligations to your company. What you are saying is that you can be bought to hide the truth. The worst thing about this argument is that your company needs and demands the truth. Lies are not the basis of a good bussiness strategy.

Don't cry for Argentina
Argentina gets eliminated from the World Cup, this cup is becoming a big triumph for European (UEFA), Asian, and North American (CONCACAF) teams at the expense of Africa and South America (COMEBOL). Of the five teams that qualify from COMEBOL (same number as Africa and Asia, even though we have 8 championships), only one is sure to move to the next round (Brazil). UEFA will probably qualify 8 of 15, Aisa 3 of 5, and Africa 2 of 5...
Argentina looses because they didn't score goals (only 2 in three games, one doubtful). The fault is Bielsa (the coach) because his team didn't make any sense. Argentina insistence on Ortega (a terrible player that has failed in all of the european teams he played) and playing with only one forward, was the cause of the demise. The hurried up changes in teh last minute improved the game, but weren't enough. No goals, no cup...
