News.Com: Microsoft to abandon standalone IE. This means that to get a new version of the browser you'll have to install a new version of the operating system? Also, what about the Mac version of IE? Again, Web developers never asked to be Microsoft developers, now they think we should be Windows developers. Oy. This should serve as a warning to any develper thinking of going with MS. They walk out on platforms when it suits them to, without explanation or apology; even ones they seized illegally. [Scripting News]

This is another non story... Micro$oft has explained that Explorer is part of the OS. This news is just the fact that sooner or later they won't support the older OS. Isn't that normal?

This is a tipically stupid geek argument. Why would you want to use your laptop standing up? There are very few applications to this, that is why Tablets will/have fail/ed. All this come from comments by Steve Jobs. I will never understand why people that do not use Apple products care so much about what Steve says... Why argue this? If you find your Tablet useful, go ahead and use it. What do you care what other people think?

I think people tend to dismiss how efficient typing is as a form of input. They think it is inefficient but studies say otherwise. The only thing faster is tachygraphy and nobody wants to learn that...
