My goodness. A new Republican governor believes some stupid right-wing crank liars, and gets a convicted rapist released from prison. The rapist goes on to rape and murder one woman that they're sure of so far. Probably another. Maybe more?

Of course the way the governor got the release was extraordinarily dubious, and probably illegal. Of course he lied about the whole thing afterwards.

What's unusual is that it comes out in the press.
