Great virus coming soon to a computer near you: this one exploits one of those Microsoft destroy-the-competition features, emails itself to everyone in your email archive, and then erases your hard disk.
Brought to you by trustworthy computing.
I gotta say, a few really destructive viruses might just be in order to force Microsoft to change its ways in a hurry, not just cover their incompetence with PR spin.
New worm, Winevar, packs a punch [infoworld.com].

Trying to get airline tickets is a freaking nightmare. aa.com just didn't even work. Travelocity stinks: slow, and time-wasting interface.
A lot of people who fly live in large cities. I want to go from one of two airports, and arrive at one of three airports. None of the software can handle that.
After hours of trying to use the above sites, I gave up, and just called American on the phone. Of course we now have the technology to turn the phone into a horror, too. I gave up on that and begged for an agent. Eventually it caught on. But now I'm caught on hold.
I guess flying has become such a nightmare, that this isn't bad compared to what I've endure when I actually fly. Still, you would think they would make it easy for me to give them money.
