News - Interesting article about America's out-of-control deer herds: http://makeashorterlink.com/?O31E25B62

Comment - Brandon, Dave and I will do our best on Friday to help reduce the size of the mid-Michigan deer herd.

In this article, check out the photo on the right hand side. It shows a deer in mid-collision with a compact car.

News - New Movielink service, launched on Monday, let's you purchase Hollywood movies over the Internet and download them (if you have a high speed link) to your computer: http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/internet/11/11/video.ondemand.ap/index.html

Comment - Is anyone going to use this? The movies can be watched an unlimited number of times within 24 hours, but you can only watch them on your computer screen and it's only VHS quality. I suppose it might be a neat way to get a movie onto your laptop to watch on a trip, but most laptops have DVD players. Might as well rent or buy the DVD. Still, it's an interesting experiment. Might be worth it to avoid going to Blockbuster.

News - Attention home schoolers! Down-to-Earth Astronomy has online astronomy, science and math activities for K-12: http://www.stsci.edu/outreach/

Comment - Follow the link to Planet Impact and you can pelt Jupiter with comets.
