News - Interesting transcript of a Monday Washington Post chat session about
the Columbia disaster with a reporter who covers the space industry:

Comments - Couple items jumped out at me: 1) We'll continue to have at least
a military manned space program. The U.S. is keeping an eye on China, which
says it wants to launch astronauts and even fly to the Moon, and 2) There
was no way for the Columbia crew to go out and inspect the Shuttle for tile
damage. And if there had been damage found, there was nothing they could
have done about it - no spare tiles on board. They didn't even have enough
fuel to reach the Space Station.
