Today was another gorgeous winter day - albeit cold. Clemmie and I took a walk this afternoon along the our section of the Coastal Trail. I brought my camera along.
Clem - totally stylin' in her winter outfit!
Because Clemmie is an old dog (11 1/2 years!), her coat has really thinned out. She now gets quite cold when the temperature drops. So, for Christmas, I got her the very spiffy doggie coat that she's sporting in this photo.
She loves her new coat. And boy does she get tons of compliments when we're out on the trail...

One really big bull moose with a very impressive rack.
This guy was resting comfortably in the trees about 30 feet off the trail. Clem and I were not going to sneak up any closer.

Me and Clem.
It was right around zero degrees F - definitely chilly. So, to protect my recovering bronchial tubes, I'm wearing sort of a neck gaiter/balaclava thingie (not to be confused with baklava).

This young second year bull surprised us on the way back. He was right off the trail on a bluff above the fence. We were probably about three moose strides away...
Take a look at his really goofy looking "stick" antlers. He's got a long way to go before his "rack" approaches that of the big guy.
