The Ski Boy and I "checked out" Tige again today for our second get acquainted hike. All week, Peter and I've been eagerly anticipating our Saturday hike. Heck, I came back from Seattle just so we could get some face time with the Tigester!
We decided to do McHugh Creek. During the summer, I avoid the McHugh Creek area like the plague - bears abound up there. But we're headed into hibernation season so, the Yogi's are all tucked away for their long winter's snoozes.
Today was absolutely glorious: 27 degress and very bright sunshine. It was like a fabulous spring skiing kind of day. From the McHugh Creek trailhead, the three of us headed south towards Rainbow on the Turnagain Arm Trail. The McHugh Creek to Rainbow leg is very very steep - big gain in altitude. But the stunning vistas are well worth all the work.
The three of us had a fabulous time.
Oh - and guess who's here at the Partnow Manse for an overnight??? Yup - the Tige-a-roo is spending the night!!!!! Yay!!!!!!
Tige and me overlooking The Arm. I wasn't kidding when I said it was a glorious day!!!!

Tige and Peter in the stunner shot of the day!

The now-obligatory mountain stream shot.

Tige and Peter headed down.
